The membership of the PTA Executive consists of the School Principal, a representative of the teaching staff and elected parents. Parent representatives hold the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer. A member of the PTA Executive is nominated as its representative on the School Board. The Association meets each month of the school term. The PTA assists in planning future development; and provides funding for general maintenance of school buildings, school equipment and curriculum resources. The parent representatives also assume the responsibility for school social activities; and other parental assistance to the school. The PTA assists class parents, with their responsibilities and contributes to Tuckshop organization. Contact: Brendan Bolton BUILDING AND MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE (BAM) The Building and Maintenance Committee was set up in May 1992 as a sub-committee of the School Board. The establishment was with the specific mandate of developing a 5-10 year plan to provide for the ongoing maintenance of the school plant in its entirety. Membership consists of four parents, the Principal and Deputy Principal. The Committee meets on a regular basis, approximately once a term and assists in the many and varied tasks related to ensuring school facilities are safe, upgraded and maintained. Working Bees are co-ordinated by a member of the Committee and are held once a term. Dates are listed on the Term Diary sent home at the commencement of each term and volunteer forms sent home closer to the date with the school newsletter.
