The aim of the members of this group is to allow themselves, through their
prayer, to be the means by which God's love and deliverance reaches those
in need. As situations of need arise in the community and in the
lives of individuals, members of the Prayer Tree are alerted to join in
a campaign of prayer. They offer themselves and their prayer in a
way that is particularly focussed and intense, not to tell God what to
do but to pray that God's purposes be done in the particular situation.
