St Dominic's Parish is pleased to welcome Dr Trudy Dantis to give the 2025 Dominic Oration.

The Dominic Oration is an annual public lecture on parish life. Last year's Dominic Oration was given by Archbishop Anthony Fisher, as part of our centenary celebration. The Archbishop addressed the question: What is the mission of a Dominican Parish? Dr Dantis will give this year's Dominic Oration on the topic:

Dr Dantis is the Director of the National Centre for Pastoral Research, the Australian Bishops' agency tasked with analysis of Catholic pastoral life and engagement. She has an outstanding academic background in pastoral studies, social work, business administration, and community resource management. Her book, A Handbook for Building Stronger Parishes, builds on the insights gained from her doctoral study, on the vitality of Australian Catholic Parishes. She continues to bring her academic credentials to continuing questions through the Fifth Plenary Council of Australia and the local phases of the Synod on Synodality.
